What a team

"Set Up" Man Bobby Parnell comes in with the bases loaded, gives up a run on a balk before throwing a pitch, by, get this, bobbling the ball in his glove as he enters his setup, something I don't think I've ever even seen before, then promptly gives up another two runs on a line drive base hit... then throws two consecutive fastballs in the dirt, one being a wild pitch, one successfully blocked by Thole. If you fire Emaus this early, how has Pedro Beato not the set up man now?

And how about the rest of the Mets? They enter the game against a starting pitcher who, in his first three starts allowed 5 earned runs and 9 hits against the Cubs in 5 innings, 1 earned run on 8 hits against the Marlins, and 7 earned runs on 9 hits in 4 innings against the Phillies. The Mets manage only 3 hits and 1 run against him in 7 innings. I hate this season.

Is the entire universe against this team? WTF was that call by the 2B umpire? Bill Hall doesn't catch the ball, and Reyes is called out? That was an easy call... watching it live on my computer from my couch I could see Hall didn't catch the ball... and this effing guy couldn't get the call right from 8 feet away? This is disturbing. Two things I can't recall seeing happen in the same inning, both going against the Mets... a balk allowing a run from bobbling the ball before even throwing a pitch or even entering a windup... and a second baseman absolutely not catching the ball at all, not even close, and the ump calling the runner out anyway. What is going on here?

Remember the Mets losing on a triple play against the Phillies the year before last? Who does this shit happen to other than the Mets?
