350 rushing for the Seahawks

Sheridan got fired after one year of poor defensive performance so why does Fewell get five years of poor defensive performance? We are setting records for how bad we are now. Even during our Super Bowl season we went into the playoffs with something like the 31st ranked defense in the NFL so injuries are in no way an excuse for Fewell since THIS has been his MO since he was hired.

What a fucking Joke... Fire Perry Fewell..Fucking now. somebody better be handing him his fucking pink slip as he is working into the tunnel. What a complete fucking joke this defense is...

Actually this is great news.. this may very well be the game that would make our wish come true... yes the D is decimated but the showing today was embarrassing on so many levels... Remember when John Fox used to plan to contain McNabb? Fewel's plays the same game against everyone... I'm not convinced he's gone at the end of this year... and I'm glad JPP isn't exactly playing to his potential on a contract year... he hardly showed up this game...

So basically every co-coordinator is terrible or is it just maybe the talent not present. Many times the D hit Lynch but he just shrugged them off. That's not scheme, that's players.

Yeah, the looked like Pee-Wee out there. They were extremely over-matched. And I can't believe that Perry Fewell ignored Wilson running to the outside once per set of downs...I'd guess the players were just constantly not alert or smart enough to be ready for it. And when they were ready for it, they weren't athletic enough to bring Wilson down.

As much as people blame Fewell, it's not like he's working with the 2007 defense.

We don't have a starting caliber LB, the secondary is down to Rolle and DRC despite it being the strongest unit at the start of the season and the "famous" Giant's pass rush is made up of JPP/Kiwi/Moore/Ayers.

I know people keep saying the offense has no talent on that side of the ball, well that was the excuse of the week anyways.

I'm just trying to find the talent on the defensive side of the ball that isnt on IR.

We had no one to contain Wilson and Lynch bounced off the LBs and Secondary like he was a pin ball, the blame is on much of Fewell as it is the players for giving up 300+ yards rushing.

Like everyone has been wanting, Fewell is gone at the end of the year if not after this week, but we could bring in Dick Lebeau and we would still have the same result. It's up to JR to bring in the talent because theres no way in hell JWill, McClain and Kennard are the LBs of the future.

Its 8:45 eastern time, and Perry Fewell hasn't been fired yet.

No sense in doing anything mid season .... Takes time to vet possible candidates

And while it's true injuries played a huge part, like Fish said, his defenses have been consistently bad.... And so have our injuries... At this pace I'm not we're gonna have any starters left.

I'm not saying we weren't bad, but it's not the first time Marshawn Lynch and Wilson have done this to teams. Look, at 17-17, we're throwing 50 yard bombs to our smallest wideout against possibly the best corner in the league when we had been moving the ball nicely at that point. We went away from what was working, and then the offense went away after that. That play alone was the biggest mistake in the game.

I'm almost thinking we have to blow the whole thing up.

Part of me says, "hey, just fire Fewell, get rid of Reese and keep TC and Eli."

But the other part of me says, "cool... and by the time the new GM gets 'his' team built in 3-4 years, Eli will be ready to retire and Coughlin will be 100 years old."

This team is just terrible... but I put 75% of it on Reese. This roster is awful.

I was wondering why we stopped targeting ODB too...

Not denying that the personell is inadequate, but this has been going on for years. Remember the 2010 Eagles game? That was a Perry Fewell defense. Green Bay 2010... Fewell Defense. New Orleans 2011, Indy 2010, Atlanta and Baltimore 2012... we gave up 30+ points in 6 games in 2013 and we're more than half way there already this season. These poor performances are a staple of his career healthy team or not.

And I want Reese gone more than Fewell for his inability to field a quality team for his coaches and his arrogance about his "success" as well.

No I feel we have some promising players... Look I counted at least 3 rookies who starred this game for us... And a few other young guts in their 2nd year and let's not forget how many guys are lost for the season....

No way you blow up the whole thing and Reese seems to have done really well this year and last...

As I stated in another thread I think we're 2reeally good FA and a couple more decent ones for depth and another solid draft in 2015 away from being really good... And Eli has more than a few years left..,

However I'm left scratching my head as to why we haven't seen more of Moore out there...

I was absolutely furious with that. There was no reason for that pass and Donnell was open well past the 1st down marker as well.

I don't think Eli has too many years left with this team Nas. If Coughlin goes, I think eli will soon follow.

We have to start looking at more mobile qb's in this age. We are seriously lacking that dimension. Wilson showed you that today.

Mobile QBs don't last long... Wilson is very young and he is one very good hot away from going down RG3 Blvd... Now if you mean QBs in the mold of Luck/Big Ben physique-wise then yea

Reese I think will pay at the end of the season, but fact is this last draft might have been his best one in years. It's too late though.

I bring the point back to Mara JR.

The Giant's have had what? three GMs in the last 30 years.

I doubt JR is going anywhere in the next few seasons, Mara will make Fewell/McAddo the scape goats and I'm sure he will even throw Coughlin under the bus before he goes after a guy in the FO.

Wonder what Mara Sr would be doing in this situation.

I don't care who you're playing but especially a team like the Seahawks....when you can't stop them from marching down the field no matter where you give them the ball, you don't punt it at their 40 yard line. Especially with a 3 and 5 record on 4th and 4. Grow a set a go for it. That could have changed the entire outlook of the game.

Disagree....a better DC would tell the DE/LB to plant and seal the edges.

Or maybe the talent just sucks ass.

Either way, this beyond injuries....the most injured unit played the best this week.

Yes, but Reese has had 10 years with this team now. George Young ran his course, so did Accorsi. fact is the last 4 years he hasn't gotten this team back to the level he set himself.

The Giant's i.e. Mara doesnt run the team like the Raiders when the team is losing he throws the panic reset switch and get rid of the entire coaching staff and GM.

He already threw out his butt buddy Gilly, and he'll probably throw Fewell out this season, maybe even Coughlin. JR is safe, Mara will bitch about how the team needs to become more competitive but it's the same thing he says every year to make the ticket buyers feel better.
