Remember back in August?

Still haven't heard the better third down option and you have all had more than three months to come up with one. Shit, McAdoo has had six plus and he can't either.

Actually, they highlighted Michael Cox picking up the blitz on third down (that we converted) on at least one play today.

Anyone NOT named Peyton HIllis is a better third down option. Any play not named "shotgun draw" is a better option. Throwing the ball up and letting Donnell, Randle, or Beckham make a play is a better option than throwing the ball on 3rd down and 15 to Peyton Hillis 4 yards off the line of scrimmage or any similar version of the give up play..

The team is 3 and 6 now and they have yet to take legitimate risks that could potentially swing their luck and/or assist them in taking down a better team. It's 4th and 4 from the opponents 40 after they just committed a dumb penalty? Go for it? No way, we'd rather net a 20 yard punt and take our chances that they won't run the ball down our throat the entire length of the field again.

The team has no guts, no heart, no toughness, and no fucking identity.

That punt from their 40 tells me Coughlin is part of the problem.

Absolutely, dude. The team takes on the persona of the coach and anymore, it seems like that persona is old, stale, and incontinent.

Throwing the ball up is one of the reasons Eli Manning had 27 interceptions last year. Why is this a better option this year compared to last year? Peyton Hillis on third down isn't the reason this team is now 3-6 either.

This team has guts but it isn't stupid but it is soft. As far as identity: Defense can't stop the run and soft in the middle. Offense is on life support and special teams is nothing more than a snapper, punter and kicker.

Anything is better than this conservative shit on offense. For 3 glorious weeks we saw a glimpse of what could be. But Cruz went down and Jennings got hurt and they switched to turtle mode.

This... Coughlin won't even consider taking a chance at 3 points in the 55 yard range. Brown can hit that... Just continues to err on the side of field position, when our defense is gettimg overwhelmed. Coughlin's running out of time here.
