Do you guys feel Danny has probably the biggest chip on the shoulder - coming from a basketball school, not achieving greatness in college but a damn good athlete and QB, nice smart, comes to NY, draft No.6 and now he just feels he needs to do more than necessary. That fumble trying to reach for the marker for example. Almost everytime, it looks like he is trying to do more than necessary - the supporting cast is certainly not helping which is a fact.

I like the guy - am willing to have him as our QB because hes got that Favre gunslinger mentality - but he is trying too much.

I like the guy too. I also see the attitude you note...and I like it as well.

At times it is hard to believe he is a rookie..he has a great deal of poise...and has great feet.....then....it becomes very obvious he is in his 6th game.

Balls security, holding on too long....missing a read.

When that happens I just go "All fixable with time and reps".

He is not working with much upfront.

Other than the kid in Baltimore...I cant think of a 1st or 2nd year QB I would trade him for at this point.

He is a keeper.

I think he is looking like a rookie.... playing with a team that is underachieving basically in every aspect of the game.

The fumbling bullshit needs to get addressed though, sometimes it is him trying to make something out of nothing, sometimes it is dudes coming up blocked, sometimes its just bad fucking luck... It needs to become a priority for him to not drop the ball.

He seems like the kind of guy who wants to carry the team on his shoulder, which is mostly good, but can be bad at times in that it leads to "trying to do too much." Nevertheless, the concern is ball security, particularly the fumbles and pocket presence to sense the rush.

He's a smart kid so I expect he'll be able to correct these issues. He also just needs to set his expectations for this offensive line lower.

Still more good than bad from him, and you can tell he belongs in this league. Also, don't discount all of the injuries on offense, the horrendous line he has, plus sub-par play calling. He's not well supported at this point.

Put a capable O-line and skill players around him and he'll be good.

Fwiw that fumble when he was trying to reach the 1st down marker was a great play by the defender. DJ had both hands on the ball and the defender just put his helmet in the perfect spot.

Yeah some of these are tough breaks, but hasn't he had like 10 fumbles in 7 games? That's far too many, even if some are "unlucky."

He is part Hungarian and Part Welsh. Hence he is Wel-Hung.

I think that was said best - he is also of a trusting nature and has too much faith in the OL. Once he realises that the OL is not going to give him that extra half sec to make a play he will realise to protect the ball better. The fumbling is seriously pissing off - at this rate he will have more than Tiki (or does he already)

Every rookie losing games like this does. He should try not fumbling and getting rid of the ball instead of improvising and extending the play. Team isn't good enough to run the playbook.
