Exhibition games are a waste of time. Doesn't the WBC start tomorrow?

...The WBC(which I do not like,so will not watch)starts Thursday night in Tokyo.Torre says that he'll play all four position players in Thursday's spring opener-then they're on a plane after the game to play in the WBC.

I don't like it either. But it's baseball and I miss it, so I'll tune in from time to time. Maybe Beltran will find his swing across the seas.

One thing that would worry me is possible jet lag or something like that. I remember the Yankees had an opening day in Japan a couple years ago and started out really slow after that, some of the blame went for the long trip to Japan and back. So that should be in our minds too.

Why couldn't this be in January?

ill be watching the game just to get me back into the baseball mood. how can you not watch the WBC? its like the olympics with baseball.

Well, I'm going to be holding my breath every time Beltran or others step to the plate. If it was a couple months earlier then it'd be less stressful. Thank god Pedro isn't going in it though.

I hope the Yankees don't have a spring training like last year's they lost a bunch of games and went into the season very fucking cold.

Probably just coincidence. I remember the Colts went 1-4 in pre-season and everyone said that may be a problem and they started out 13-0.
