Ralph Vacchiano @RVacchianoSNY 2m2 minutes ago Giants beat out several other suitors for Beatty, I'm told. Got 1-year deal w/guaranteed salary of over $1M, plus about $750K in incentives. gmenroc
Made a lot of sense. Hopefully he can get up to speed on the offense quickly. Read the quote below at the end of the article on giantswire. "The Giants had Beatty in for a workout on Tuesday, and he not only checked out completely healthy, but wowed with his quickness and footwork." Tempest
I think this is the first time it has ever happened. Giants re-sign a player they cut from a position they needed help at. He wowed them with his footwork... Yeah that's it...
Sephiroth
Beatty and Flowers should flip-flop positions. Will B. isn't really a right tackle because he can't run block, and Flowers can't play LT right now because his footwork and technique are still very sloppy. Iceman_NYG
Beatty was a necessary signing because was being a two dollar Grade A Bitchass on the line. Beatty should be able to replace him. Flowers will remain at LT - even though he hasn't perfected the position yet, the talent is abundant, its the skills that he needs to pick up and the only way he will do that is if he gets enough game time. I was worried about Newhouse shitting the bed everytime he lined up, Beatty now gives me some home there.
osi724dasack
Beatty at RT can be the next Sean Locklear Locklear played a fantastic RT for us one year in pass pro he was incredible, his run blocking was poor tho .

Mr. P
Cutting him and re-signing saved us like 2.5mil and gained us a humbled Beatty willing to play any position not just LT. Now let's see how he looks after so long off the field.

mastershake
The signing illustrates how woefully desperate we are at OL. Nobody else wanted Beatty, lol. And it's unlikely that he'll be healthy throughout the entire season. Plus, months ago, we already new Flowers was a project and that Newhouse was a backup at best (if that), along with Jerry who is backup material. Why did they wait until now to do anything? Is this also Coughlin's fault. Be prepared this season for a painful offense to watch, with little to no running game, and Eli under pressure all season long. osi724dasack
There's literally zero downside to signing Beatty And multiple teams wanted him on a vet min deal, he called Jerry Reese at the final hour and they hashed away the past.

Herc
We sat on a third of our cap room anyway. All I care about is that he's an upgrade over Newhouse as small as it may be
