BlueInCanada
In a move, everyone seen coming with them throwing all that money at Foles, Bortles is excepted to be released. Can't wait for him to sign with some team so the media can start talking about "How he's finally going to take the next step" just to have him benched by week six. Herc
Nobody in the media will write that article. They have too much fun mocking him
CrazedDogs
My money says Foles does 0% better than Bortles.
Herc
Hell be fine as long as the entire offensive line doesnt get hurt again. Just like Bortles was fine before that happened. Its a lot easier to just say he sucks though

Its a lot easier to just say he sucks though I dunno when the organization that drafted you and stuck by you gives up on you becoming a franchise QB after multiple years, I don't really know what more can be said. A change of scenery may help. Probably not in most cases.

Sephiroth
I think he'd make an awesome backup on this team... certainly better than that one guy we have that took eight snaps five years ago.

fringe
Backing up Goff on the Rams Former Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles agreed to a one-year contract to join the Los Angeles Rams, the franchise announced Monday night. Bortles was released by the Jaguars last week when former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles signed a four-year, $88 million free agent contract to replace him. The Jaguars opted not to designate Bortles as a post-June 1 cut, so his contract will count $16.5 million in dead money on the team’s 2019 salary cap. If Bortles would have remain on the roster, his contract would have resulted in a $21 million cap hit this season after signing a three-year, $54 million extension in February 2018. With is release, the Jaguars saved $4.5 million. Jaguars top executive Tom Coughlin and general manager Dave Caldwell both refused to admit last week that giving Bortles a contract extension, which included $26.5 million guaranteed, was a mistake. BronxRik
So, whatever the Rams contract pays him, he will also get $16.5 million from the Jags to sit behind Foles? Is that right?
BlueInCanada
So, whatever the Rams contract pays him, he will also get $16.5 million from the Jags to sit behind Foles? Is that right? I believe so. Same thing with Eli, if we cut him he could go play for another team and still get paid 23 million from the Giants. OBJ is making 16 million from the Giants this year. Vernon gets 9 million I think it is.
