Well look at that

Target a weak secondary and reap the benefits. Giants had two opportunities this season to do what the Falcons are doing right now to the Pack and neither time did they test the Packers secondary.

It's a shame.

The offense was pathetic. OL mediocre at best.

The real issues were Cruz having zero threat on the outside opposite Obj, and lack of a TE to take advantage of the open seams.

Desperately need another outside wr and a TE along with Ol help.

Makes me think even tho shepard looks outstanding that Michael Thomas would have been a better fit and pick for us as a wr2

We'll see how it all pans out with Shep. You're right though. Thomas was the better pick ability-wise and what he adds to an offense. Giants have a strange obsession with possession and slot guys.

I was high on Tyler Boyd too. Boyd had 58 receptions to Shep's 65 on just 81 targets. McAdoo wants nothing but under 6 ft WR's though

Can't blame the Patriots because other teams aren't good enough. I was hoping to see the Raiders with Carr just to see if they were going to be good enough to take care of them. but it seems you just about can't beat that kind of Coaching and QB combo. well, the Giants can. :)

I don't even know if I'm going to watch the SB at this point. I wanted the Giants to win...shit. I wanted Pittsburgh to win...shit. I wanted Green Bay to win after they beat the Giants...sweet!!!...and then shit. Now, I'm half interested in Brady winning because as much as I don't care for the Patriots, it would be cool to have seen a guy win what...5 SBs? As much as he's a pompous ass, you can't debate how good he is and from a fan of the game perspective, that's fun to watch. PDub makes a great point too about then being able to say that the Giants were the only team to beat them in the SB over these years.

Root Pats? You gotta be kidding. Pats are right up there with the Cowboys, a little ahead of the Jets, for teams that could NEVER lose enough or feel enough pain to suit me. Plus, it's the whole NFC/AFC thing. Go Falcons!

The Pats are a mixed bag. Belichick definitely has a soft spot for the Maras and Giants, and they're not punks... I'd take them over the Dick Shermans of the league any day.

And yet... Tom Brady is such an insufferable douche. It's like every time they score a TD, Brady, Gronk, and Edelman act like a fraternity that just scored some roofies on sorority pledge night

Then you get shit like this:

Ugh. I know he's great and all, but how can you root for that? I really liked Brady and Belichick when they beat the Rams, but they've managed to fritter away any good will I've felt for them since then. The shit fits, the cheating... they're just not likable.

I want the Pats to win it simply because the NFL has never seen such a dominate franchise over such a long period.

Plus it would be a big middle finger to all the NFL/owners who went apeshit fine happy over the whole film/deflategate thing.

The only reason I want the Patriots to win is for the schadenfreude. If the Patriots win and Brady is MVP I'm going to have to watch the end game ceremony (usually I don't bother). Godell having to hand Brady the Trophy is going to be the most awkward moment ever. It'll be awesome.

I don't know, you have Belichick credit at some point. between him and Brady....they always seem to come up with a way to win. that and the O-line......... Brady with his skills just seems to always have a lot of time to throw. I don't care about them at all and wish the Falcons would swallow them whole but, other than the games against NY....this is where they shine the most.

That's the thing, I dont care about the on field/off field stuff, the simple fact remains we are watching the greatest QB/Coach combo of all time in the NFL.

Belichick doesnt even need to video tape anything, the guy out coaches and out plans 99.9% of the coaches in the NFL, the only one he hasnt seemed to out coach was Coughlin. He gets it done without a roster full of pro bowl players and has no problem trading away starting talent for players/picks that he uses to fit his team.

Brady might be a personality but he makes every throw needed to win the game and just makes it look easy with at most times a pretty sub par cast around him.

I mean they are headed to their ninth SB appearance, before Bill the Pats were almost as nonexistent as the Jets.
