Allstarjim
Well look like this is a done deal. Mets will get highly touted prospect Zach Wheeler, who is 7-5 with a 3.99 ERA in single A ball this year. Wheeler is the Giants #2 ranked prospect in the organization, and was the #6 overall draft pick in the 2009 draft. He's 21 years old and has a mid-90's fastball. He is a strikeout machine, as he has struck out 98 batters in 88 innings... but, he's also walked 47. So the Mets minor league pitching coaches are going to have to help him get more control and improve upon a curveball and a changeup. The guy is a legit prospect, though... this is a player that in 2 years could very easily be winning a lot of ball games in the majors. I like this kid, but would've liked another prospect as well. Overall, I think Alderson did a good job with this one.
TaylorBanksCarsonVanPelt
If Beltran swings....he would still be a Met.....I am stoked that they got a top pitching prospect in a pitchers park called Citifield.
