One more 100 yard game, and OBJ will tie Giants WR great.....

Ike Hilliard with seven 100 yards games with the Giants... Yes, if Odell Beckham gets another 100 yard receiving game next week. He will have the same amount of 100 yard games as Ike Hilliard. Granted, this Odell Beckham rookie year, And it took Ike 8 years with the Giants to have 7 games of 100 yards or more.

Fun fact: OBJ had 144 receiving yards today. (6th 100 yard game in his career). it push him over the 1000 yard mark for the season. Something the 7th Overall pick, Ike Hilliard NEVER did in his 12 year career.

That is all...

Hilliard was more of a possession guy who wasn't afraid to go over the middle, a la Wayne Chrebet. Still, I see your point....both Beckham and Hilliard were first rounders, Ike being a 7th overall pick.

He made a losing season very interesting. I've never been so excited for one player

This!!!, and like a dumbass....I took him out of my fanduel lineup thinking the Rams defense would try shutting him down, hell.....Eli got me 28 pts, fucked that one up for sure.

I was there, in our pre-PSL seats - front row of the upper deck, around the 25 yard line. Play happened pretty much right under us, at the goal line. Ike was on his stomach and had been called down. Maybe Hudson, the Jag safety, said he didn't hear the whistle but he almost broke Ike in two with a pile driver knee into Ike's back. It was an absolute cheap shot. Still remember Ike, trying to gut it out and run off the field but he was all bent and twisted and you knew he was hurt badly.

Nem, yes he was. I still remember that hit... dude was already on the ground and that asshole wanted to decapitate him.

It was one of the dirtiest hits I've ever seen. I think thats why we associate it with Brian Dawkins.

Yes ... agree with all three... a very bad and unnecessary hit... talk about defenseless players...

What are you basing that on? The first neck injury was in week 1 or 2 of his rookie season. Wasn't Dawkins either, it was against Jacksonville.

He was getting rave reviews before that.

 You mean besides his stats... Nothing I guess.

We really needed a WR and Hilliard was definitely better than Rae Carruth, Reidel Anthony, or Yatil Green.

But yeah, he certainly wasn't a great player. I'd give him a B, B+ for his career.

As far as that hit went, I could have sworn it was a knee to the back of his head when he was already down. Seem to remember seeing his head snap forward then back, and I think he was taken off the field on a stretcher.

Yes, he was already down but maybe looked like he was trying to crawl forward and the safety crushed his spinal cord. He teetered off on his own but grotesquely bent to the side. This was coming off a concussion, I believe, a week or two earlier. Guy never caught many breaks, with injuries and a stretch of up and down QB play - Kanel, Collins, Warner/Eli - but was always a consummate pro and a great team guy. Worst thing that ever happened to him was getting drafted 7th overall (I think it was).

I don't know, Rae Carruth looked like he was going to be a good player, but hard to say. Maybe if we drafted him, he wouldn't have murdered his girlfriend, and gone on to an illustrious Giant career. I just read on Wikipedia that Carruth was found not guilty of first degree murder, but was found guilty of conspiracy to commit murder with a few other charges. I mean, how can you convict on conspiracy, the frickin' woman DIED of her injuries as a result of that conspiracy, and you are NOT GUILTY of first degree murder? WTF? This dude is getting out in 2018! Cherica Adams is still dead, though! That seems wrong to me. He'll be like 43 or 44 when he gets out... plenty of life left, and be free, and he had his girlfriend murdered.

Sometimes I wonder about the world we live in. Same thing with that Oscar Pistorius... can't we just bring back hanging in the public square?
