first opening day game I have missed since 99. Too f-ing cold. Sitting in that weather for football does not bother me, but for a baseball game and with the parking situation out there I decided to refrain from a trek to Shea. Gotta go next year I suppose as it will be the last one at Shea, but not this year.

too tough during the week with work, getting home, etc. Its not like the the old days for me where it was up at 6, drinking by 7, shitfaced by noon, watch the game, go to a bar afterward, come home, pass out. On a weekend? No problem, hence why I have not missed a Giant game in years, but too tough on a Monday after Easter.

Its not the cold that bothers me, its watching baseball in the cold, its a mindset thing.

nothing some good old fashioned rum won't cure, its just that that cesspool of an area is the pits to get to even when they do not take 2400 parking spots. Now? Forget it. Cannot wait for Citifield to open.

Haha, not really a big rum guy. I took the train to the game, my dad parked at 69th St and we just took the 7.

maybe it was just the fact that it was freezing, and it wasn't officially opening day, but i didn't feel the electricity that i expected on opening day. but if i get another oppurtunity, ill definitely do anything to get my hands on tickets. its really the only game worth going to during the regular season... maybe yanks games too.

since next years opening day is going to be a sunday night home game... i may have a decision on my hands to sit in the cold and get home at 1
