Interesting signing here: #NYGiants bringing WR Cody Latimer into the fold. WR coach Tyke Tolbert knows Latimer well from their time together in Denver.

does this mean that we are cutting Harris or Marshall perhaps ?

I'm inclined to give Marshall another chance depending on if he comes to camp in shape and ready to work. If all the cylinders are working, he could be a valuable target. We really never got to see what the top 3 could do on the field at the same time.

Only way I want Marshall back is under a massive pay cut.

The Giants could cut him saving 5 million in cap space while only inuring 1 million against the cap in dead money.

Surprised they havent but they have till June 1st, maybe hoping that he takes a pay cut.

Injury is the reason why they haven't cut him.

Yeah..it's a good move...has a lot of talent, just hasn't put it all together yet..as herc said, he will be a t replacement gunner at the very least when they cut Harris.

Who knows, maybe we got him at the right time..he's still very young..has the ability to be a great slot guy... possible outside receiver to compliment Beckham...if he gets it all together. Six three too..good height and good speed.

This could be a home run if he puts it together...was he a first round pick? I remember he was highly touted out of college

Wow, yeah, he was a second rounder. I had no idea, I figured he was a UDFA. Lets hope he can contribute more than just as a gunner and/or return guy. Return guys are kind of obsolete now with the way touchbacks are.

that's a good point.. kickoff returns are pretty much obsolete...but maybe he can return punts...which doesn't add much....I'm hoping we got him at the right time..with a good offensive minded coach...he can live up to his ability and become a great asset in the passing game.

Either way, i like the addition

And looking at what some of these other receivers have gotten (look at how fucking insane Paul Richardsons contract is), the Latimer deal is good and risk-free. Either he performs or he doesnt. And theres a possibility we get a starter or slot guy for a fraction of the cost.

No way is a 6-3 dude gonna be asked to return punts. He probably will play the outside go WR - good trade for us.

Tall isn't a deal breaker as a punt returner. Toomer was a good punt return guy, and he was about 6'2" if I recall correctly.

If he's sure handed on the catch, there we go, that is what matters more than anything.

I don't claim to know much about football as I do baseball, so I mostly depend on you guys for the xoxos of the game and players.

It just seems like running backs are the go to punt returners.. smaller than wr

Yeah Id be just fine with a starting lineup of Beckham, Latimer, Shepard, 3rd round pick

I liked what I saw from king too. Hopefully hell be in training camp. Plus engram is a great weapon. Marshalls ability aside, it is an over commitment of resources to the wr position to have that 6 mil cap hit
