I sincerely hope you didn't miss that one, Blu. Great night to be a Giants (S.F.) fan. I've seen Cain pitch before, but watching the highlights in this game, he truly is a great pitcher. That two-seamer he had working last night was deadly, he had tremendous control and velocity on it. That could be the best two-seam fastball in the majors. And what is that off-speed pitch he throws? Is that a splitter? It looks hard, has that 12-6 break on it. Filthy pitch, Halladay-esque.

Tremendous effort, great play in right field by Blanco to take away a double from Shafer.

Well deserved honor, 22nd perfect game in history. Two already this year, and what's really amazing, is that there very well could've been two last night, if not for David Wright. But that's for the R.A. thread in the Mets' forum.

Yup I missed it. Caught all the highlights though. That Blanco catch was a-mays-ing. Matter of fact, I heard on the radio that Mays was in the clubhouse before the game and he was telling outfielders that he would move the glove up on his palm to give himself 2 more inches reach because sometimes you need it.

Cain is a horse and him and Posey are in lock step. Don't think that's the last time. He's had 3 one hitters I think.

Yeah, I've heard that they've given him the nickname "The Horse" out there. In a lot of respects, he is similar to Nolan Ryan with his build, over powering fastball, and his "horse"-ness.

Who would you compare Cain to, blu, as a fellow baseball guy and historian?

Well, his demeanor is like Drysdale. He'll pitch inside and buzz your chin just like Drysdale did, too.

Also that rising fastball is a great strikeout pitch. You cannot lay off it or hit it.

Just like when he hit David Wright in the head and then nodded to the crowd after he was taken out.
