Guest nosebleed
Redskins add safety Archuleta By John Clayton ESPN.com Safety Adam Archuleta kept getting calls from his former Rams defensive coordinator, Lovie Smith, who was trying to recruit him to come to the Chicago Bears and help out his defense. But the Redskins flashed $10 million in guarantees and a contract worth close to $5 million a year, and those thoughts ended. Archuleta became the Redskins' fourth addition from over the weekend, joining receivers Brandon Lloyd and Antwaan Randle El and tight end Christian Fauria. Archuleta flew to Washington on Saturday on Daniel Snyder's private plane and stayed for the weekend until the Redskins finished the deal.

Storm
where have you guys been the past 10 years? Every year the Redskins overpay for players in the first week. Every year the Giants take their time and get the players they want anyway, at their price, avoiding cap hell in the future. How often has the Skins signing spree panned out? You guys are worried about an old tight end that has averaged 25 receptions a season, a career number 3 WR who can throw an occasional pass, and a dude with 3 career interceptions. The only good signing they had was Brandon Lloyd and they gave up future prospects AND overpaid for him. You Chicken Littles need to shut the fuck up. HOUND
Archuleta makes a lot of plays but he makes a lot of mistakes too. Wonder if this punches Ryan Clark's exit visa?
Blue in Iraq
It's the same thing every year out of you clowns, 'EA you stoopid imgrate! Sign every FA out there!'. Redskins can have every player they sign. it's only going to come back to bite them in the ass. Spend a ton of money in the offseason so their new players can take the feild and march them straight down the shitter. FA

Blue in Iraq
I wouldnt really count Archuletta as 'improving'. And we beat the pants off of them the 1st game and won the East. Hardly ebarassing. Edited March 13, 2006 by Blue In Iraq

But we have glaring needs and we seem to be biding our time announcing signings which can't be verified as official and giving physicals.

So your saying that the Skins beating the Giants by 17 was more embarassing than the Giants beating the Skins by 36? You just made a total ass out of yourself with that statement, if it is even possible to be more of an ass than you already are. Maybe Floyd will give you a full body massage and make you feel better. Moron.
Blue in Iraq
So what? They delay the announcement of signings. When they announce a signing late, does it make the player any less signed? And in order to sign all these FA's that people want EVERY SINGLE OFF SEASON, the Giants would HAVE TO spend insanely. Blue in Iraq
the Giants NEEDED a dt LAST year, too, according to all of you guys. Now all of the sudden, Clancy is the second comming of Christ and we should have locked him up till he retired. If we can't afford a DT because we have glaring needs at other positions, so be it. a DT has the help of the other lineman. Our CB's on the other hand are left out there flappin in the wind. We NEED to upgrade our secondary at a price thats right for the team 1st and THEN move on to the Dline if possible. If not, take what you got and RIDE! Correct, the secondary does need improvement, makes you wonder why an aging cornerback was so heavily recruited.
Blue in Iraq
All players are aging. look at players that are 'aged' and still playing balls to the wall. Age aint nothing but a number.
gateb
Best guess is that they slowly put themselves in cap hell in 2013 when the new CBA expires and assume the deal will be done again. How do they do it?
