Why our TE positions sucks

Yep.

Take the same squad that caused the firing of the previous coach (well, Beckum, Pope's chosen one, didn't help), remove the two guys that played the most.

Replace them with a FA that causes a resounding "who?" throughout the crowd, and a UDFA that hasn't been on the field for weeks.

Stir.

Blame the coach.

Once again.. the voice of reason.

believe it or not it's possible to have bad personnel AND a bad position coach

Sure it is. But if your personnel did nothing with a coach that's supposed to be one of the best at what he does, it's not reasonable to pass judgement on the next coach dealing with an even weaker group after a couple of months. In an entirely new offense, mind you.

There are coaches on this team that have sucked for years and no one bitches--wonder why this coach is catching grief...

I was thinking more of the linebackers coach--it's kind of damning that Williams/Paysinger are picking up their games only after Beason shows up. And he's got a hell of a lot more to work with this year than Jr. does.

I use the excuse at both positions, that the draft really hasn't fallen their way. There was monster reaches at TE during this past draft. We could of used the rent a TE philosophy in free agency like they did with Myers and Bennett, but that hasn't worked so well either. There was guys like Dickson who I think really would of fit this offense. Your right though Gilly Jr has nothing to work. Pope is a renowned TE coach and couldn't do shit with ARob, who I think their finally giving up on.

The JPP of tight ends dropped a ball where I'm positive I saw Ryan Nassib sigh. Through his facemask.

Yeah, but he caught two passes in a row against the 4th string guys to set up the winning TD.

He's really more the Marvin Austin of TEs... show up for two preseason plays and everyone will sing the blues once you're gone.

Wait, are there people singing the blues that Marvin Austin is gone?

You said the same stuff when he signed with Denver yet nobody is 'singing the blues'.

Exhibit A

Exhibit B

Exhibit C

Just watch, when he inevitably gets cut, SOMEONE will give the old, "Man, just when Robinson was starting to turn it on... I hope he doesn't end up in the division!" bullshit routine.

Your boy Marvin was actually looking pretty good for Denver. Sounds like he's finally healthy.
