Still has his left hand, and can club/strip/wrap with the right.

I mean just looking at this video of most of his plays (if you can stand the music) I don't see a single time he ever had to "drag someone down" and did perfectly fine.

And holy fuck did that firework ever do damage, finally seeing the fully exposed hand.

Well, yeah... that's a highlight reel. They're not going to show all thw times he couldn't wrap somebody up. Not saying he still won't be a good player but he's definitely working at a pretty serious disadvantage.

You're right It's a disadvantage, but not as serious as people make it out to be.

Much ado about nothing. I remember spending all of last fucking summer reading on this board how JPP was done for the year probably his career, won't be able to lift weights, blah fucking blah from the sportswrath genius bar. JPP get to the QB, he is taking the mothafucka down.

I think JPP's career is over because he isnt that good of a player, the hand has nothing to do with it

Although he's looked like his 2011 self after the hand injury so maybe it was a blessing.

My concern is that once lineman realize he only has one functioning hand, they'll probably start to hook or pin his other arm. I think his days at RDE are probably over but he might still be effective at LDE since his good hand is his outside one at that spot.

Still though... there's no way he's taking down the Cam Newtons of the league if he's trying to grab with that right hand.

He had one functioning hand last year...they still had trouble blocking him.

And he had trouble tackling... one sack in eight games. He was disruptive for sure, but that's a pretty bad statistic.

Even with both functioning hands JPP doesnt really show up when the team needs him most in terms of sacks.

He never really had trouble tackling though, don't see why you would say that.

He had one hand wrapped in a club, played half a season, about four months after blowing half his hand off...

JPP will have a better season this year if he doesn't need to play with the club.

I'm not sure having use of your two weakest fingers is a marked improvement over the club, but I guess we'll see. As someone who played football in high school I can tell you that having use of both hands is very important.

You get better at working with what you have, the human body is amazing at adapting. 3 1/2 fingers...going to learn how to use those better than before.

Personally I would have preferred he simply amputated the hand and simply had interchangeable prosthetics depending on the down

A three prong hook, a trident, sledgehammer, a whip

Yeah but after a big season with a bionic hand, owners will start forcing their players to cut off limbs to get an advantage, then next thing you know it's a league of robots instead of players.

Then there's a robot in the whitehouse and LGBTQ2 is lobbying for robot love/rights.

Just a downward slope, I've seen to a hundred times.
