...today is his birthday....I ask all to join me in grabbing your cocks...facing KC and telling that piece of shit that 30 years later his astro turf induced 'near .400 year" is nothing and he is not then or is now a PATCH on Craig Nettles COCK!

Fuck you number 5....HOF...Batting titles.....one stolen ring off a bad call ...fuuucccckkk..youusss...you and your almost sucking a cock Charlie Lau battting stance...

Number 9 isn't going to the HOF but he's a Yankee all the fuck day long ......and has more rings then you...cocksucker.

Thanks for the indulgence boys....I hate George Brett

Wow chuckles...you really got it in for this guy. In my lifetime, there's been a handful of baseball players (non-Yankees]) that when they come to bat, it makes me stop whatever I'm doing just to watch the pitcher/batter battle. It could be in a store, or on TV in a bar or restaurant, or a background game at home. Anyway, one of those was George Brett. Others were Rod Carew, Paul Molitor, Mike Schmidt, K. Griffey Jr., and W. Boggs (before he was a Yankee). In todays game, I will stop in my tracks if a TV is on somewhere and Albert Pujols is at the plate. Precious few players in my lifetime cause me to stop everything simply because they are at bat.

It has always been with me, as if I am watching history in the making. I've caught games that were history making games at the right time. I happened to be watching the game when Kirk Gibson hit his homer while hobbling on spent knees. I witnessed the "pine tar" game when Brett hit a Goose fastball out of the park - a hundred mph pitch that was so far inside and high, that if he missed the ball, would've hit him right in the face. I witnessed McGwire's record breaking homerun. I witnessed Bucky's Boston dinger, etc. I feel as if I am part of history if I catch it while it is unfolding and that only happens about once every 5 years.

Anyway, you never know when you are going to witness history in the making, but when it happens, it seems to involve a very small elite group of players and Brett is one of them. Although, I also remember him squirming uncomfortably on the bench with hemmoroids so bad he couldn't play in the post season. Perhaps well deserved after that bogus pine tar incident.....see, there is a God chuckles!

One last story that you'd appreciate. My ex-brother-in-law is a very wealthy and influential figure in the Binghamton area. He happened to be in Florida in the Spring and caught a Yankee pre-season game (even though he's a lifetime Cubby's fan) and he ran headlong into Brett in a walking underpass. My brother in law stuck out his hand and introduced himself and Brett said, "get the fuck out of the way asshole". Probably the only time in my brother in law's life that someone didn't treat him like a rock star. Humbling for him, but also revealing about the real George Brett. Not a nice guy. But he sure could fricken hit.

I particularly hate him for the Pine Tar "homer" BB.....Thurmond had one taken away from his in a White Sox game i saw in the 70s' at Old Chomisky for the very same thing...but he just took it. .....he didn't go ape shit like Brett did....I love how Nettles was laughing in his face......I live in what was alternately Brewers/Royals or Cub/Cardinal country when I was a kid and back in the day they could not have been more on Bretts dick. This was back when everyone outside of the Tri-state who wasn't a transplant hated the Yankees.

I still hate the fucker....yeah...he was a top 5 hitter of the last quarter of the 20th century....but he's still a dick to me ..and your ex brother in law...LOL....I have good friends in KC and they say pretty much the same thing about him.

Hey...an aside...do you think Albert P. is on the juice? Man I hope not...

I doubt AP is on the juice only because so many players have been busted in the past couple of years. It wouldn't surprise me if he had at one time or another (most likely, 95% have dabbled with it), but with all the publicity and skeletons popping out of the closet, I imagine he stays squeaky clean. It seems the only ones busted for past use are those who had enemies in the media or some shithead friends in the past that needed money so wrote books and ratted out old teammates. I personally have nothing against the players that juiced in the past when it wasn't against the rules. But now....if a player gets caught juicing, it's gonna haunt them.

Easy there big fella....Whitey is off limits.

I know that back in the day, Whitey, Mickey, and Billy were best friends and they spent most of their time getting shitface drunk and chasing tail. But they were always polite to everyone they ran into. At least that's the experience I have when they were in Binghamton. When Mickey was coming through the minors, he spent a year in Binghamton playing for the "Triplets". After ball games, he'd throw a ball around with the neighborhood kids and would buy a round for the entire bar. Billy spent the last few years of his life living in Binghamton and no matter what bar he hung out at, he'd draw a crowd and was extremely entertaining and would sign anything you put in front of him. I have one of his signed balls because of it. There's a picture in a bar in Binghamton ("The Relief Pitcher") that has an old black and white photo on the wall of Mickey, Whitey, and Billy, and all three were beyond 3 shades to the wind. Interestingly, there was a huge titted blonde with both her boobs on Mickey's head while they all smiled for the camera the way people smile when they are so drunk they can barely see.

Anyway....easy does it on Whitey. He's the only one left of the 3 amigos that make up Yankee lore.

See...see what you did...now you're dead to Bleeding too. If you don't want to be dead to Madjack...the only other participant in this thread.....I'd steer clear of any inflammatory comments about Fritz Peterson, Sparkly Lyle, Doc Medich, Bye-Bye Balboni, Scooter Rizzotto, Goose Gossage, Roy "Big Dick" White or anyone else off his All Yankee Nickname team....

..though, I think he made the Roy White one up.

Okay...now...back to being dead to me.

Don't forget "Bam Bam", "Mick the Quick", Bucky", and the "Chicken"

Speaking of Balboni, I watched him in Syracuse back when the Yanks had their triple A affiliate there, and the guy behind me hated him and kept taunting with, "Booooooo Balboni booooooo...you suck" over and over again. I was married back then and my wife was with me or I might have spent the night in jail for a bruhaha that I started. I loved Bye Bye Balboni. When he connected, man did the ball go a long ways.

Fred Stanley is one of my all time favorites Bleeding. I hated to see Dent come in...until that one game playoff that is.

I saw Balboni when he was with the Royals.....man if he only could have learned to hit a curve ball....

Meulen's was all time bust at third. ..all time.

Fritz Peterson and Doc Medich exchanged wives. nuff said about that. Rizutto was cool, he used to drink at the yankee tavern. Horace Clarke was a cool guy too. Whitey was an ass, (so is Reggie, but who didn't know that)

The NY Giants always took time to talk and play with the kids in the neighborhood. Yankees walked by like Hollywood actors. Only Horace Clarke and Pepitone sometimes hung out.

Yeah....Bam Bam was certainly a bust.....but nowhere near the "All Time" biggest bust for the yankees. This could be a thread in itself.

I'll just list a few that pop into my head:

Butch Wynegar (sorry...NYC is just such a big place that I'm just not comfortable enough to hit....or catch....or run...or throw)

Brien Taylor (kid could throw 105mph and was knocking bats (the kind that fly at night) out of the air with rocks back home in North Carolina - never threw a pitch for the yanks after they signed him to a multi-million dollar contract right out of high school - hurt his arm in a damn fist fight)

Kenny "Moonshot" Rogers

Kevin "Downtown" Brown

Danny "Got Me a Big House"Tartabull (and I was so hyped when we got him)

Hideki Irabu (even George Costanza's old man knew Steinbrenner fucked up that deal making him comedy fodder for Sienfeld)

Ed Whitson, Dave Collins......

Black Jack McDowell did okay, but when he flipped off the Yankee fans after a bad outing, he became despised and was never a true Yankee after that.

yup, late 60's, early 70's. i lived right behind the center field wall.

I'm so fucking jealous....ever met Joe Morrison....Rocky Thompson....Spider Lockhard.

I saw one double header in the old, old Stadium in 72"....fucking one of the best days of my life.......my grandfather had a drug store over in Washington Heights on Amsterdam Ave back in the 40's through say...65".....then it got so he was getting robbed every other week so he closed up. He had customers from Joe D through the Mantle era.

To be fair - George doesn't seem to have a big vocabulary.

I know some guys in KC that worked in his rest. -- big drinker & tipper. -- big temper too.

George Brett once told my dad "Fuck you, you wish you can play like I can"

Oh yeah....I thought he was going to the big stud to carry the Yanks for a few years and he vanished just as quickly as he had gotten hot. Talk about vanishing.....one day, Chuck Knoblauch rolled out of bed and forgot how to throw a ball. Geesh, I watched him actually run the ball over and hand it to the first baseman because he was afraid to throw it. Anyone with seats along the first base line had to really be on their toes because Knobby would likely hit you in the face with an errant throw. They called it the Steve Sax syndrome. Never seen anything like it in my life.

There was a luncheonette called Val's on my street which served as our after school baby sitter.

MOM: I'll be out shopping, when you get off the bus go to Val's and eat something.

Every morning during football season, we'd walk in there while waiting for the school bus and the Giants would be eating breakfast. Bill Swain, Bobby Crespino, Katcavage, Homer Jones, Robustelli.

Homer Jones once dropped a perfect spiral I threw to him. OF course he had his dry cleaning in one hand.
