BlueInCanada
Hey maybe the Dolphins can finally have a QB who can win them some games now. Guy has been the definition of mediocrity at QB right behind Cutler.
BlueInCanada
And now go figure the Dolphins are on talks with Cutler. LOL some teams just want to remain irrelevant.
Herc
At least they aren't trading a first round pick for Sam Bradford. All cutler will cost is some money

BronxRik
I think they'd have been better off with Kap. My boss is a 'Phins fan and he's not a happy camper.
BlueInCanada
I think they'd have been better off with Kap. My boss is a 'Phins fan and he's not a happy camper. Kap is never going to play in the NFL again. When half the fan base wont watch your team because Kap is a communist loving, bald eagle killing faggot. And the other half of the fan base wont watch because you wouldnt sign some shitty QB who throws more INTs a game than Cutler just because of his political fews. Why even bother with the headache? It's like Mr.Tebow but instead of being just a shitty QB, he is a shitty QB who has a "just cause"
Herc
Non-football stuff aside, gase is a year removed from getting a good season out of cutler. There's a month left before game 1 and he's familiar with his system. It makes a lot more sense than kaepernick
Sephiroth
I seriously don't understand the Kaepernick hate. Yeah, he protested the treatment of blacks by police... by taking a knee during the national anthem. Agree or disagree with it, it's his Constitutionally protected right to do so. Michael Vick ran an interstate gambling ring based around dogfighting. He got another shot. Leonard Little had 3 DUIs, and killed a little girl during his second one... he got another shot. How many second chances did Greg Hardy get? Three? Is what Kaepernick did really worse than those other guys? I understand not wanting a circus show a'la Tim Tebow, but Kaepernick might still end up as a decent quarterback... Tebow was horrible.
Herc
I don't know why people care either. I suspect everyone is pissed at the over-coverage that has been going on for a year now. I know I'm very sick of it, but everyone is blaming him instead of the media
fringe
It's a Tebow situation, really. He's not that good. Probably good enough to be a backup but then you don't want to deal with a notorious backup. Not so much because of what he did but because people will think he's better than he is because they know his name.

Leonard committed a crime, but he doesnt hate 'Murica. Hardy committed a crime, but he doesnt hate 'Murica. Kapper hates 'Murica according to alot of people out there willing to boycott the NFL, which happened in TV ratings last year. But there's a bunch of other people who are gonna boycott the team the moment they think you are not gonna sign him, look at the Ravens, etc. Moral of the story dont let a bunch of people think you hate 'Murica. To much drama for a below average QB.
Tempest
Cutler is a better fit for the Dolphins than Kaepernick so I see this solution to be very simple. I don't see Kaepernick as a free agent in August as a league wide effort to hate and blackball him either. Now I absolutely believe there are a few teams that won't give him an opportunity. He made the choice to become a free agent to play the QB market after a disappointing time with the 49ers in the hopes of landing a starting job elsewhere. He overestimated his value. Allstarjim
Why do people keep saying Kaep exercised his rights? Nobody's disputing that he has a right to do it, it doesn't mean that his opinion and stance is one that people are going to not only not agree with, but find loathsome. Great, we've established he's within his rights and he has a conviction. But there is a lot more people that think his conviction and method of protest are hostile to what they believe. And they are well within their rights to say so as well, and to let the league owners know what signing him would mean for their continued enjoyment, or lack thereof, of their product. What I'm saying is that several players in the league have done things that are arguably far more harmful and loathsome but there didn't seem to be any public outcry over it. Zeke Elliott will play again in six weeks.

Herc
Zeke got suspended. Kaepernick didn't. Zeke has talent, Adrian Peterson has talent, 30 year old ray rice and kaepernick doesn't. It's not hard.
Treehugger
PFF posted something a while back about how Krapernick had the lowest efficiency in some passing metric (passes over 10 yards?) of any starting QB last season. He's simply not a good QB.
Allstarjim
Here's the thing, Seph...all those other guys you are talking about, players that have done worse things, right...they were suspended and sometimes paid other penalties, such as legal, and they all admit their mistakes and acknowledge the wrong they did. Americans are a pretty forgiving people. But not if you don't acknowledge your wrongdoing, and certainly not if you continue with the negative behavior. But Kaep makes no apologies, continues to fight his fight, and has not suffered any penalty except he can no longer find a job in the NFL. There's the other element at play in which so many people who love the game can't afford to go to a game, and this rich man who would likely only have attained his wealth in this country, disrespects the country. People have a hard time with that.
CrazedDogs
And yet so few people have any problem with the however many other, better players that also are taking a knee during the anthem. Its almost like the indignation is reserved for players that can't help one's favorite football team. Hmmm....
