Truly one of the greatest pitchers in the game going.  Such a tragedy.  Baseball lost a phenomenal talent, a tremendous competitor, and by all accounts, got "it".

One of the guys, as a Mets fan, would just give the Mets fits.  When I saw he was slated to pitch against the Mets, my heart would sink a little, because his talent was so immense.  Was supposed to pitch against the Mets tomorrow.  Despite that, had so much respect for him as a competitor.

Defected from Cuba, after 3 unsuccessful attempts.  No doubt in my mind he would've won multiple Cy Youngs, on track to be a Hall of Fame pitcher.  Sad day for the family, for the Marlins organization and their fans, and for all of baseball.

No question on track for a hall of fame career.  Scary good.  Such a shame.
