Sephiroth
It'll be interesting to see how the Seahawks do now that they have to pay their players market prices. Didn't work out too well for the 49ers last year...
Bigblue25
The Seahawks have a new set of problems with Kam Chancellor holding out with THREE YEARS left on his deal. I wonder if Revis and Chancellor have the same agent
Herc
60 mil guaranteed. giants and/or eli were probably waiting for this. hopefully they get it done now
BlueInCanada
I wonder what Eli's agent is asking. There's no way in hell you can pay Eli 20 million a season for the next few years and expect OBJ to resign.
Bigblue25
Seahawks extended Bobby Wagner too. Was hoping he would be a free agent, not that Reese would of even sniffed him since they like LB's the ilk of J.T Thomas instead

Even if he did hit free agency, I don't see how the Giant's COULD have signed him. Eli, OBJ, Pugh, Cruz, Prince, etc, etc. The core of the team is coming up on contracts and the Giant's arnt the best team to handle the cap. Everyone thought signing Wilson would leave Seattle strapped. The Giants are supposed to have more cap room in the offseason, but have a ton of expiring contracts and players on year 1 year deals, plus they already have a severe lack of depth

BlueInCanada
Prince, JPP, Eli...one more reason JPP isn't around next year. I think we lose a few core players to FA the next couple of years. JPP is gone unless he pulls a Drew Brees and comes back BETTER then he did after the injury. Prince I can see taking money somewhere else, he's won a SB here, I can see some team paying him starting corner money. Eli could be a Dolphin next year. Hynoski, Moore, Nassib, and a lot of "depth" players are gone the year after. Going to be interesting these next few seasons and I'm sure a coaching/QB change is coming sooner than some people expect.

There's at least a few that might not make it out of training camp this year, let alone worry about losing them next year. And if we must have them, I feel pretty secure in knowing that there won't be much of a bidding war for Adrien Robinson, Jayron Hosley, and Brandon Mosley. And I wouldn't exactly consider JPP "core" at this point, even if he plays again (I know you didn't use the word "core," bigblue, but your post had that great list). He's no longer a guy you build a defense around--unless he has a miraculous recovery. The only guys I would lose sleep over being on other teams are Manning and Amukamara, and Prince spends a lot of time on the bench with injuries. There's other players I would prefer keeping, like Randle, McClain, and Ayers, but they're not critical to any other team but ours. There are 1-year deal guys we might be sorry to see go--or just the opposite. I'm not even all that sure that the "core" is that critical considering the level of play we've seen in the last 4 years. A core should personify a team, and propel it to wins--where has that been over the last few years?
Bigblue25
Agreed a lot are not a whose who of talent, but 36 guys are a lot to replace in one offseason. They already have a lack of depth and needs at starting positions
