I'm still working on mine... now I have a question about Myles Jack, UCLA... What's the extent of his injury? I've read stuff here and there... and as much as I'd like the Giants to draft him, his health brings me to pause...

The recheck showed some condition that has many thinking that he'll require microfracture surgery at some point down the road. Further, it's a condition that supposedly will limit his length of career. So on one hand, you have one hell of a linebacker. On the other, you may have him for 3 years, you may have him for 8 years, you may have him for 1 year. Some have referred to his knee as a timebomb just waiting to go off. Because of the unknown, it'll scare off some teams. I've seen him falling outside the top 10 in more than one mock...but his talent now will keep him in the top 20 for sure I'd think.

I'd be torn on Myles Jack. Do you sacrifice a little talent and get a longer career out of your draft pick or do you sacrifice a longer career for more talent now?

I think the Giants should, and actually may, do everything possible to trade down from 10 to the 15-20 range. It would be great if they could get additional picks, and I don't think there is a big drop off in the talent from 10-20. And if Jack is there, I think they take him.

Yeah me too. But I'm doing it because I really think that the Chargers want to trade back for Stanley, and if they do, and I somehow get the team right, that's bonus points for me. Of course, I lose points if the trade doesn't happen and the player gets picked in that spot, but what the hell... I like to gamble.

3 points for getting the pick at the correct spot in the draft order

3 points for getting the pick to the actual team that drafted him

2 points each for players correctly mocked in the first round

So basically, you still get points for picking the player to the team even if it's not in the original spot of the draft they take him, due to a trade... and you get points for the player picked in the spot you mocked him at, even if the original team in that spot trades out of it.

Get the player to the team in that spot... it's 8 points.

 

Could I suggest an alternate scoring system? No? Too late? Fuck you, I'm suggesting it anyway:

 

Points for each pick = 10 - (difference between Actual draft position and Predicted draft position).

 

So correct picks = 10 points and you lose a point for each place you're off. You could make the deductions stop at 0 points...or let it run into negatives to be really nasty.
