Congrats, Sox!

You did it again! Well, you didn't really win it as much as we lost it, but I'm gonna be a good sport and wish you well anyway. (Unless you play the Mets! Even then, I'm still a little miffed they fired Willie)

You have to at least put those upstart Rays away. Those fans down there don't deserve a team like that.

Before I accept your congratulations, Ditto, I have to know- are you serious about the "you didn't really win it as much as we lost it" part?

It wasn’t a slight on the Sox. I know you guys had your own problems, but the Yanks should have been right up there with you and TB. Instead, Girardi went against his original game plan and played the same tired line up day in and day out. By the time they brought up fresh troops, Damon especially was playing like a freaking zombie, and Abreu only slightly less so. Their’s were the two bats that carried us all year. And Damon in CF everyday weakened us defensively, which was all we had left.

I wasn’t too crazy about the Pudge trade, either.

Yeah, but those are all the things that make up a baseball season. If it makes you feel better to say the Yanks lost it instead of the Red Sox beat them out, fine. But the bottom line is that the Sox were a better team than the Yankees this year, and that's all that really matters. Regardless, thanks for the congrats. Now root for us to beat your nemeses the Angels. :TU:

Hey, Johnny Damon delivered as always. Hate the guy these days, but you know what you're gonna get with him, a leadoff hitter who can take pitches, steal (25-30 these days) and has 15+ pop. Plus he hit .303 and looks horrible in gray.

I'd blame the misconception that Melky Cabrera was a league average player a bit more.
