Honestly not surprised Getty didnt package both firsts to move up to #1 just to take Jones with how he talks about him. Reminds me how EA used to talk about Eli. Tempest Posted April 26, 2019 Share Posted April 26, 2019 I saw the Giants draft Daniel Jones and went immediately to sleep, so yeah I was also disappointed. I wake up and find out the Giants had three first round picks: an under performing run stuffer, a CB not named Greedy Williams and still Daniel Jones. I trust Dave Gettleman so will give all three first round picks the benefit of the doubt since I watch no college football, game footage, held no interviews, and know that a 15 minute youtube highlight reel is not the same thing. Simply going to have to wait two years before we see Daniel Jones start a meaningful game during the regular season. Giants still needed help on the defensive line with stopping the run and hopefully Dexter Lawrence is the solution. Yeah I didn't consider him a first round player and had low expectations of BJ Hill last year as well. Deandre Baker I think will be a welcomed addition to the backfield and fits Bettcher's defensive scheme. Ok so no pass rushers drafted yet and we need help in that area but right now only have a third round pick, lets see how the night plays out. From whats I saw, guy looks like he can plant his feet, his arm doesnt seem as strong as others but it seems like he can move in and out of the pocket and get a man.
