xxi-xxv
If any...? probably quite good if Will P. does not return. I like Webster, but he does have much to learn and hopefully Guinta can help in his development. In an ideal world he is #3 behind Will P and another CB. In that scenario I think he best learns and develops as a player.
gateb
Very good chance even if we do sign a vet. But everything is in question right now so it is way too early to predict that.
njsmalls
At one point I thought Deloatch and Webster was going to be our new CB tandem.
osi724dasack
well it depends... if we dont re-sign Allen, dont draft a corner in day 1, and if Will P is not ready to go... then he definately will along side Deloutch whom I think is pretty skilled and can become a good player...he played well in a couple games this year so yes Webster will likely be a starter
bluebloodinflorida
After seeing the Giants/ seahawks game again yesterday and the class that Jerevicious took Webster to....I don't think he's ready.

You mean that first TD catch? Webster was actually in excellent position on that play.

You mean the first game he started and really got considerable playing time in? Go watch the Chiefs game. He had some nice plays in that game. Guest Floyd The Barber
this guy is a nickel corner at best...he is the prototypical NYG FO pick... a guy who had a tremdendous Sph/Jr. campaign to fall to an injury and never be the same his Sr. year, many scouts said that coming out of college he will never be the player he could of been and since his injury had to change the style of his game...so what does that moron do ?? he signs him, in hopes that his injury was just smoke and mirrors...this guy was burnt left and right during the PT he had, and is a terrible tackler... Mannings face sucks...

Mannings face sucks... so...according to your vast football knowledge...it is safe to judge a players ability based solely on their first year, in which they did not even start half the games? Only players with good first years develop into solid players? Better tell Strahan, Osi, and Tiki that...they might disagree

gateb
Don't laugh, you may not be that far off. Maybe for this season if things go horribly but odds are not long term with FA and the draft.
Big_Tony
If Corey Webster can't start at CB for us in his second year, was he worth drafting at #43?
WillAllen
I hope Will Peterson comes back, even though that would make Corey Webster the nickel back assuming Allen gets resigned. I'm not ruling out Webster as the Giants LCB on opening day though.
shockjock
There is certainly a good chance that he starts there next season, but I would not be overly confident with him. We would have to expect some more growing pains for the first half of the season
Money
If Corey Webster can't start at CB for us in his second year, was he worth drafting at #43? Depends ... 3rd CBs are pretty much starters in the current game. But I think there should be much more time before we can decide if he was a worthwhile selection. Frankly, I think he will start at one CB spot next year, regardless of who the Giants sign or draft.
Money
Fair enough. Frankly, I think he will start at one CB spot next year, regardless of who the Giants sign or draft. I think whether or not he starts is completely predicated on Will Peterson's status. If Peterson is healthy, then Webster in the nickel back. If Peterson can't play, then Webster starts. In any scenario, I'm certain the Giants will bring in veteran help at CB (whether it be Will Allen or someone else) as insurance for Peterson. gateb
If Corey Webster can't start at CB for us in his second year, was he worth drafting at #43? Very much so. He brings playmaking capability to our squad and it's always nice to have depth and a guy who is talented at nickel. And also, who else was there that we could have taken?
