Tempest
Well that is nice and looking forward to seeing that continue on the field with positive results for the season.

NeMesiS
I never questioned his effort... just his skills. I'm really rooting for the guy.
Nas
He has the skills... he doesn't have a good coach however... they left him hanging last season... They didn't provide additional help which took a toll on his confidence. This one is squarely on the coaches.
Gman329
I dunno.......two highly respected OL coaches, with two different styles, have gotten the same results. I'm encouraged that he's been at the facility working out all off season and hope the tumblers click into place in year #3 but there are a lot of scouts saying, "I told you so" after his first two years. Who was our OL coach before our current one? Our OL has been in shambles for a while and I would have to think coaching is part of the problem. He was in San Fran where they were 4th in the league in rushing. And now Coughlin brought him to the Jags to rebuild that Oline.

K3VIN
I like when he just backs up without putting his hands on the End
boohyah
If he had to go work all offseason, its because someone got on him to do so. You can't blame his coaches or anyone but him. Last season, there were games where he didn't get his hands up or in some cases didn't move. No coach in the nfl is that bad where they teach that. His effort needs to improve, he's already big enough to play the spot
Sephiroth
I think his effort is good, and I think the coaching is probably good. I just don't think Flowers is that good. This is his "prove it" season, and it's true that he's young, but to this point Flowers hasn't done much to make you think he can be more than an adequate LT in this league. To be honest, the entire line isn't that good. I don't think they're all not trying, I just think JR may not be that great at picking O-linemen. We had this discussion before, but... Diehl, Seubert, O'Hara, Snee, MacKenzie. Who's been replaced with somebody better?
