E-town Giant
O.K. we got our veteren cornerback, good that is out of the way. Now what? I belive we need another proven corner and a stud or something close to a stud at linebacker. I think the realistic optionis as follows: Sign Deshea Townsend-- Sign Will Witherspoon-- Now,our Imedeate needs are filled with quality players. We get all the experience we need and can then pick by the best available and not exactly what we "need" in the draft. Let me know what you think.? Money
I doubt they sign Townsend after signing Madison. I'd prefer Arrington and Peterson to 'Spoon. 'Spoon isn't a difference maker, but he is going to get paid like one. I'd be wary of all of these guys ... they all have red flags...

Again I am trying to be realistic here. Witherspoon in my opinion is a better player than Arrington and he won't ask for as much money... We will not be able to afford Peterson. And our own Peterson is questionable with his back problems so in comes Townsend. By the time Webster is able to come in and be the playmaker we need him to be, Madison will be plauged with serios fatigue.
Chopper
I would like to see Arrington and Dyson come. They are both young, and talented and fit our needs in LB, and to a lesser extent CB.
osi724dasack
Well I think were done at CB for now (maybe we draft one) but Dyson would have been better, but I must say I am happy we got Madison for a nice price. A OLB is a must, hopefully EA can lock down Peterson with the extra room, and if not then Witherspoon would be the next best, and if a deal can not be done with Will then LaVar should be next on the list. So hopefully one of them 3 is a giant in a few weeks. Peterson and LaVar can play strong and weak sides...(so just imagine signing both of them ) and Clancy should be re-signed hopefully and a guy I would like is Antonio Bryant, but I doubt EA goes after him

njsmalls
Don't forget we don't have a second safety. I don't want Butler starting. We want less questions in our secondary not more. I'd like to see the Giants go after Chris Hope or Tank Williams. The draft is deep in LBs if we can't afford Arrington/Peterson/Witherspoon and a new Safety. Another position is DT...how about Kemoeatu we need a big DT.

I think Jason Allen could be an option...but it will be hard to get him since he had a good combine. Instead of him being there for us in round 2, he could very well go as early as the bottom of the first
Chopper
really? you like Ayodele ahead of Peterson and Witherspoon? Yes. I think that Ayodele would be a lot cheaper than Peterson and Witherspoon. Ayodele is also 27, and has not missed a game in his career. The thing that sticks out most for me, is 4 FF. If we sign him.... The Giants have around $8 million in cap room. If they sign LaVar, his first year cap number won't be much more than $2-3 million...
