Sephiroth
Honestly, they should be. That guy was the smartest guy in the world who dismantled a playoff team and replaced it with "his guys" from college. Always thought I got a Mike Martz vibe off him... Storm
We've seen it time and time again, head coaches should not share GM duties. Owners should not share GM duties. You need a guy who can be immune to pride, take information and criticism from his people, and make smart business decisions. Unless you're talking about Bill Belichick, who is a football savant. TrashTalker92
Was watching on showtime NFL. Chip Kelly's was telling his guys to focus on the side line as his defense guy were walking back. You can tell they weren't listening. Just walking pass their HC.

Yeah there havent been many coaches in the NFL who have been given free reign on their team, and the ones who have either turned out to be the best in the game (Walsh, Landry, Lombardi, Belichick) or have completely destroyed franchises. Mr. P
and Coughlin was essentially the GM of the Jaguars doing a great job for an expansion team.
BleedinBlue
I've been thinking that Kelly could end up taking over the Syracuse Orangemen if the Eagles fire him. That could be interesting.

I remember reading when the previous owner of the Jags sold the team, he said his biggest mistake/regret was letting Coughlin go.
