First thing I thought about the game when I woke up this morning.

Eli was throwing some sharp balls last night and it's just fucking sad the drops... I'm disappointed BM hasn't been what we thought he'd be... I get he may have a good game here or there but we need him to play full time.

Spent some time surfing the web during the game. There was just a lot more going wrong this week than last oddly enough.

 

It was poor planning to have Bobby Hart out there, he is still hurting and single handedly killed our first series. Giants should have worked Pugh out at RT and Jones at LG during the week in preparation for the game. That isn't hindsight, it is a contingency plan based on a known injury.

 

I can only hope they keep them there but I know better. Already tired of watching Bobby Hart play RT. Then there's Flowers... and there is no answer. If you want to put in Chad Wheeler then I want to take Eli Manning out now. You can start Geno Smith with Chad Wheeler at LT and Eli Manning will still be alive for everyone to realize the mistake. Flowers needs full time help to make it through this season.

 

Last night should remind the defense they need to earn the top defense ranking again.

 

Big step in development for Engram last night, starting to get excited for our first round pick and watching him play.

I agree with a good deal of this post, but this part right here...Flowers is already getting Eli killed. I honestly don't think Wheeler can be worse than Flowers. The mistake would be to continue on as if Flowers is going to eventually be a good LT. Just because he improved a little bit in the second half, I'd give Flowers one more game there. ONE more. That's it. If he can't do the job, they have to put someone else there. I don't care if it's Wheeler or Pugh, but Flowers is a problem.

Chad Wheeler is not ready yet. He is about as ready as Flowers was in his rookie season. I saw plenty of Chad Wheeler in the preseason to know he is not ready to replace Flowers.

Forrest Lamp was the future. So was TJ Ward, and Josh Sitton, and Ronald Leary and Mitchell Swartz.

 

Unfortunately, 2007 Draft Legend Jerry Reese and Offensive Genius Ben McAdoo decided the guys we have were adequate, and we really, really needed Brandon Marshall and Rhett Ellison (not to mention Evan Engram and Dalvin Tomlinson).

 

To be fair, Tomlinson should end up as a great player under Bill Cowher. Engram doesn't really seem like his kind of TE though... maybe shop him for a 3rd?
