My biggest take aways from OTAs and news.

Now that they are going into mandatory camp;

The LBs can cover. Ogletree and Goodson have been stars in pass coverage so far in camp, nothing but highlights from them breaking stuff up, they are showing quickness out there.

Vernon is transitions well into his LB role; he will mostly be used to pass rush but will cover occasional cut back lanes.

Big boys are hard to move; The defensive front is unmovable, Harrison holding down the nose with Tomlinson and Martin the rookie are showing that it's hard to get them pushed back.

Barkley Barkley and Barkley; expect the offense to flow thru Barkley this year, they will use him to set up the pass and want teams to fear him getting the ball.

Shurmur and Eli; are supposedly falling in love, and Eli is liking the new offense more and more, never seen him this excited since the days of the MacAttack draw play.

Secondary, what secondary? So far the biggest weakness of the team appears to be the secondary, a lot of big plays are given up down the field and the slot and FS positions are still no where to be found.

Number 88; Oddly enough Rhett Elison is getting a lot of snaps, could be a precaution thing maybe Engram is hurting but Rhett has been seen a lot more in camp then Engram in the starting spot.

Who is doing what with the ball?; Punters and kickers, they are a revolving door at this point, everyone getting a chance to kick as much as possible, hopefully two stand out some September.

That former NE player; Nate is doing well and supposedly taking charge of the Oline as it's leader, hopefully he can get Flowers to remember he plays the Oline.

I thought that the O-line and D-line were no contact?

I heard on the Giants podcast the other day too that Engram had a play where he motioned out wide and then beat Jenkins on a go route. I've also heard Eli Apple referred to as the "most impressive person in camp" but I'm not sure if that's due to his play or the fact that he's apparently matured a lot this offseason.

I'm not surprised Engram beat Jack Rabbit... Engram is really fast... I think maybe even faster than ODB although not sure... Only guy faster is Barkley.

Ellison played TE for Shurmer in Minny.

He knows the offense.
