Power guys that switch leagues always do well in the front part of the year before pitchers gets some miles on and scouts figure out how to pitch them in different parks.

He'll hit a lot...but will come back down to earth even with Judge getting him good pitches to hit.

Ohtani is the bigger story. 2 homers - oh and a win. Sunday he may DH for himself.

Yeah he looked like shit in spring ball...not so bad now. He should do well his first time through the circuit too.

Ohtani has been a great story.. although I despised his way of picking a team...he seems like a really good kid..very likable.

My opinion of him has changed... it was a very nice human moment when he hit his first home run and got the cold shoulder like all rookies do and just finally grabbed someone to celebrate with.

Genuinely nice to see

He has a huge hole in his swing though.. anything over 90mph on the inside and he can't touch it. That said, that's a tough pitch for most to hit.

Time will tell, but I'm rooting for him. Hopefully the worst manager in baseball won't ruin him...good thing cashman prodigy is his boss or ohtani would be fucked..eppler is the goods.

Don't know why he hasn't fired Mike soscia...guess he's a new young gm and soscia has been there forever...they miss the playoffs this year..he should be fired. He's so bad

he beat us in the series so I can't say he's awful. they used to call him Mike Sociable for as many times as he visited the mound as a catcher. Never had the pitching after  the early 2000's.

no.idea how they beat you that year..they just got hot at the right time.. should have been an epic Yankees giants world series.

I was rooting for the Giants hard in that series.

Soscia is terrible. Hes lost more games for his team than I have ever seen a manager do. I really don't know how he's still in a major league dugout..but eppler is a really smart, savvy gm. Hes been there like three years now, he can fire him if they miss the playoffs this year and not get too much vitriol for it

I know exactly how it happened. I still think about it.
