With Mykelle Thompson out for the season, and the lack of pedigree of the in-house candidates, he could at minimum compete for a spot/depth. This year alone he couldn't make it past offseason of the both the Vikings and Lions. Still, since we have nothing to begin with - wont hurt bringing him in.
