Jonathan Stewart signing with Giants

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Stewart signed a two-year $6.9 contract with the Giants. He will receive $2.95 million in guaranteed money and can make up to $8.2 million in incentives.

I'm with everyone else that is unsure of what to think of this deal. It is pretty clear the Giants needed a veteran RB on the roster. Only way Stewart starts is if Gallman/Perkins hand the job to him. Sure there were better RB's available but I think it would have been financially irresponsible to go after them. I don't think the Giants could have signed Peterson for this price or have him ride the bench.

Just have to trust they know better than we do.

Opposites? you mean Stewart will be productive?

LOL oh In productivity I'm hoping Stewart is on the bench more than Vereen was because Gallman becomes the starter and has a 1600 yard season.

I assume you're saying stewart is not a 3rd down, out of the backfield type back.
