Where to Start?

So Draft season is almost here. And this team has a bunch of position to Upgrade. Especially on the defense side of the Ball. We need Safeties, corners, LB and pass-rushers. On Offense, it goes with out saying.. We need to upgrade the OLine and QB position. I personally thought Eli had a great year given the fact that we didn't give this dude enough time to set his feet on a 3 step route. Now I'm not here to defend Eli either. There were more than a few times where Eli should have connected with an open receiver. I think one the frustrating thing about Eli that drove my bunkers was his inability to hit receivers in stride. Again, I blame both Eli and the Oline on this.

So... let get to Business. The Draft:

Personally, I think this draft is deep in DL and OL. So much so... I wouldn't mind if the Giants trade down both their first round draft picks. For example: trading the 6th overall to the Packer for their 12th and 30th and maybe a 2nd or 3rd. And the 17 for Raiders 24th and 27th.... Having 6 draft picks in the first 2 rounds would be great. But the chance for that to happen is 5%.

OK... now to draft.

6th Overall:

I think we should draft: Montez Sweat Mississippi St - Now I get it. Dude, has a heart condition. Extremely serious condition. However, this dude is a beast. Simply destroyed people...

Who I think the Giants will actually Draft: Rashan Gary Michigan - Good player. great numbers in the combine. Underachieved in Michigan.

17th Overall:

I think we should draft: Cody Ford Sooner- Now, I know some people are saying he's a Guard in the next level. But Most people think he can play RT in the NFL. I feel the same... This dude plays with an attitude. That's what this team needs.

Who I think the Giants will actually Draft: Andre Dillard Washington -Considered to be the best Pass Blocking Tackle in the draft. Future LT for any team that drafts him. Run Blocking... Not so much. average at best.

2nd Round:

I think we should draft: Dexter Lawrence Clemson - I mean what else is there to explain. This dude is huge. Monster in the middle. I doubt he will get past the Patriots. But now that Gronk has retired. I'm hoping the go for a TE in the first.

Who I think the Giants will actually Draft: Trade it to Arizona for Josh Rosen. Or Draft Will Grier... I like this dude. I think he's underrated. he's confident, but not cocky. I don't see why the Giants shouldn't draft this kid.

3rd Round:

I think we should draft: Jamel Dean Auburn - Raaaaaaw. But has all the measurable. Most people had him going in the 5th round. but since he ran a 4.35 in the combine. He's stock just jump 2 rounds.

Who I think the Giants will actually Draft: Michael Jackson Miami - This dude is so smooth, its criminal. But it didn't translate on the field. Don't know if it was the team he played for, defensive scheme. But I think teams are hoping NFL coaching can help him with whatever is missing in his game. If not, he will have not choice but to Beat it.

So I only posted 3 rounds because... Well, I've only looked at the top half of this years draft. I'll Post a complete 7 round mock Draft this weekend. (I hope).

I also want to post another Mock Draft scenario where the Giants do in fact trade down both their 1 round.

All I know is if this happens, I will lose my shit:

3. *PROJECTED TRADE* N.Y. Giants (from N.Y. Jets): Dwayne Haskins, QB, Ohio State

History shows us that quarterback rise in the draft. Here, we're projecting that the Giants will trade their sixth overall pick to the Jets along with their second-round pick (37th overall) and their 2020 first-round pick to trade up to three spots to ensure they get their guy. (I ran the scenario by a source who said that package of picks would probably get the job done.) Im not buying the report that the Giants arent interested in Haskins. I ran that idea by several scouts from different teams and each thought it was nonsense. New York brought a large contingent to his pro day, had dinner with him the night before and will be bringing him out to New Jersey for a visit. Haskins is more mobile than Eli Manning, and I think it would be crazy for the Giants to pass on him and wait another year to draft a quarterback.

Fuck. No.

That would seriously be the dumbest thing I could imagine. But these draft pundits are lazy... they just go, "Giants need a quarterback!" and come up with all these dumb scenarios without actually doing any homework.

To be fair the Giants have said they need to address the QB situation in the Draft or FA and that Shurmur and Shula have a man crush on Haskins.

Where are you hearing this? I'm only hearing that they came away "impressed" with his pro day.

If anything, they seem to like Murray more... they kept him an extra half hour and made him late for his interview on his pro day.

We should just call all the other teams and tell them that we want Haskins, but if everyone else left him on the board, we would take him in the 2nd round. That way, we could get other great players in the 1st and still get a QB.

After his private dinner with the coaches/ownership/scouts.

Fuckers just can't shut their mouth ha? Smokescreen or not... I'd rather them just stfu.

Eh it's the offseason and bad teams generate clicks.

Who cares what the Patriots do, they'll be back to the SB.

The Giants trading picks/players that could tank the franchise another 5 years? That will generate some traffic.

Wow what a plan. You are a genius Rik. I can’t think of anyone else who would come up with this plan.

I've heard the Giants DON'T like Haskins. He's the one pushing the Giants, but on their end it's been meh. They are drafting Daniel Jones

Daniel Jones has all the tools. But dude way underachieved at Duke. Not hating... just think thats a red flag.

At Duke, going .500 isn't underachieving, it's achieving.

But I was surprised to see that Duke was better in the three years prior to Jones than during his tenure.
