The Star-Ledger is reporting that although SS Shaun Williams is still listed under contract by NFLPA.org, General Manager Ernie Accorsi confirmed that Williams is an unrestricted free agent. The Ledger says that Williams' career with the Giants is over.

I wonder if this free's up any space or Williams opted out of his contract.

Good riddance to this former first round waste. Shaun will best be remembered for his idiotic personal foul penalty in the 49er debacle, not for his football skills.

also remembered standing with his hands on his hips shaking his head in confusion after another WR streaked behind him for a TD...

Correct........how many times did we as fans witness this moron twenty yards behind the receiver that he was supposed to be covering or assisting with coverage. As a veteran, he always played the part of the lost and confused rookie, not knowing his assignments, running in the wrong direction, missing tackles................Green, Williams............who is next???? :flex:

realisticly speaking, id say in about 3 more years, at about this same time, we will be having this same discussion after the Giants release Eli Manning...

by then we will have 3 more full seasons worth of bad highlights, embarrassing moments, retarded facial expressions, hilariously awful press conferences ect...

lets put this down in writing...

Another skilled player who cared more about getting the top spot on ESPN's weekly highlight reel then to execute his plays. The Giants are finally letting go of injury prone, dumb, selfish players.

Soon enough, we will have 11 classy player on both sides, ones who will give 150% on every play.

That means players like Jeremy Stockey and Plaxiglass Burress will be infecting some other teams with their cancer.

Shockey and Plax's contracts seem to dictate that they will not be "infecting another team" for a good 4 or 5 years.....

It comes as no surprise that you would bring up Eli Manning in a thread that has nothing to do with him. Lose the obsession. <_<
