BlueInCanada
Seriously the kid is a stud. So far this "qb class that can't be past" has turned out to be shit year on , well see what happens ten years down the road but it wouldn't surprise me if none of these guys are starting. Bigblue25
The Giants are 30th in rushing yards, Barkley's big play once every twenty touches has really helped them
RandolphScott
Id be shocked if any of the QBs taken last year turn out like Peyton Manning.

Storm
I was shocked when Aaron Rogers became Aaron Rogers Good thing GB didnt let Brett Favre play quarterback until he was in a wheelchair like the Giants are doing with Manning.
fringe
Good thing GB didnt let Brett Favre play quarterback until he was in a wheelchair like the Giants are doing with Manning. I’ve always maintained that Eli will be Giants QB until he retires or his arm falls off.

Well to be fair, Green Bay did invest a first round pick into Rodgers. It's not like they were sitting there with Webb and Lauletta backing up Favre. But let's just ignore that fact lol

RandolphScott
Green Bay also lucked into Rodgers. Helped that he sat for 3 full years as the staff broke down his mechanics.
boohyah
That's his point they went into the season knowing Eli was done and did nothing about it They didnt know he was done. They hoped they could get something out of him this season with new players and gambled on the offensive line and it backfired. This is obvious.they simply got it wrong, but you have to play actual games to find this out.
boohyah
Green Bay also lucked into Rodgers. Helped that he sat for 3 full years as the staff broke down his mechanics. Green bay also didnt dump favre. He was fucking around on retirement back then and when he changed his mind again they told him he was competing with rodgers. He thought he was being disrespected and askec for a move. He actually made the choice for them.

BlueInCanada
That's his point they went into the season knowing Eli was done and did nothing about it They banked on the idea that the Oline would be improved, and it wasnt. Eli needs a good Oline, they don't have one. Barkley pick shows they thought the Oline would be improved, you don't pick a RB at #2 with the idea that your Oline is garbage. It back fired, the Oline is the worst in the NFL by all standards. Which means Eli is the worst in the NFL. Tell me what good would any of the QBs done this year? Besides the Giants ending up in the same situation? They either drafted a QB last year, then went heavy Oline/RB next year. Or they draft Barkley/Oline and get a QB next year. Just in this scenario we ended up with the best RB possible.
BlueInCanada
Quarterbacks in this league dont have to be first round picks. But it still makes your scenario no comparable in the slightest if you ignore that fact. Favre reties, Green Bay turns to a highly regarded first round pick to take the reigns. Eli gets benched they turn to Geno Smith. A QB doesn't have to be a first round pick, but most good ones go there. Since the SB era, 55% of SBs have been won by first round pick QBs.
