Looks Like Eli Is Participating In OTA's

could just be classic coughlin making the rookie earn it

Hearing Richburg was 2nd string right guard and Reynolds is 2nd string Center. Your right though, even if we drafted Martin at 12 he wouldn't of started.

Walton just has a head start on Richburg given he's been here a few weeks longer. Won't be surprised at all to see Richburg surpass Walton by the start of the season.

James Brewer at LT is the scariest thing I've read all offseason.

I'm guessing that's the case. I have to believe they have full confidence in his return...because if not, you'd have to believe someone else would be getting the reps there.

But if we go into the season with Brewer as a starter...anywhere on the line...let alone at LT, it'll be a long season and Eli's ankle will be the least of our concerns when it comes to his health.

I think they are just rotating in who they have at LT to see what they got.

OTAs arnt the place where the depth chart gets written in stone, it's just a place for everyone to get back into the swing of football.

I'm sure we'll see everyone get a crack at the starting LT job when training camp comes around and I wouldnt be surprised to see a different LT every pre season game. I'm willing to give Brewer a chance at his natural position to show he should be on the team, he's done nothing but shift around the positions in the OL and from everything I've read he should only be playing tackle.

Agreed. I know that OT is his natural position and it's probably not fair to judge him on his play at Guard but he was SO bad there, It's hard to have confidence in him at the most crucial spot on the line - protecting Eli's blind side. I'm not criticizing Reeses, Inc, because you can't fill every hole on demand and a good OT isn't easy to find. We needed help at Guard & Center, too and Reese was able to address those needs.

However, we are exactly where I was hoping we wouldn't be heading into camp: betting the house - and Eli's health - on Will Beatty getting healthy, staying healthy and playing well. If I had to pick my #1 concern heading into this season, that would be it.

Even worse than his complete lack of athleticism was that he just fucking ran by people he was supposed to block. Just saw them and... ran right by them.

He's a 350-lb pussy. For the love of God, cut him now.

After watching Beatty fuck up the line all year, nothing scares me anymore.

But I agree, Brewer would fuck up a ham sandwich if you spotted him the bread and the ham.....not very confident he's the answer at left tackle, but it's only OTA
